One Week “Camp Style” Programs
Monday - Friday, 2 & 2.5 hour Classes Beginning at 9:30am and 1:30pm
Waterbugs
This is one of our favorite courses for our staff and students alike! WaterBugs meets for two hours a day and prioritizes fun and building confidence on the water for our youngest sailors. Learn to sail and steer in pairs under close supervision of our staff with a 5:1 student-to-instructor ratio. The first step to being a great sailor is to love the sport, and WaterBugs is a great way to start!

Kayaking Adventures
Kayaking Adventures offers all hands-on paddling fun, with daily kayak expeditions to Gray's Creek salt marsh, Seymour's Rock, and the Saugatuck River. Learn basic paddling techniques while commanding your own kayak. On the last day of the week our kayakers embark on a Treasure Hunt, following clues around the Long Island Sound until they reach their prize!

Prerequisites : Ability to Swim
Yak and Paddle
In Yak & Paddle you will explore Long Island Sound on your own Paddleboard or Single Kayak! Our Instructors teach paddling techniques and guide excursions each day. This class is designed for our older Paddling students who can explore farther as they enjoy the beautiful views and get some great exercise along the way.

WaterCats
WaterCats is an all hands-on adventure week on our largest and fastest boat, the Hobie Getaway Catamaran. Perfect for first time sailors and experts alike, this course sails to local beaches and islands with an emphasis on fun. With one instructor on each boat, the children will rotate through the responsibilities on-board as they sail, swim, and explore! WaterCats is designed to encourage a love for water recreation and does not include formal sailing instruction.

ADVANCED COURSES
Monday - Friday, 2 & 2.5 hour Classes Beginning at 9:30am and 1:30pm
Introduction to Catamaran
Experience the exciting feel of sailing fast moving Hobie Waves through the Sound. Utilize basic sailing skills while mastering multihull handling techniques. Expect to get wet!

Ages: 10-16
Prerequisites : Successful completion of Sailing 2
Advanced Catamaran Sailing
Learn the finer points of catamaran sailing on larger, faster Hobie Getaways. Don't forget to wear a bathing suit and hold on!

Prerequisites : Successful completion of Introduction to Catamaran
Racing Techniques
This course is the highlight of our summer. Students learn yacht racing rules, strategy, and tactics in a week-long high-intensity Neo regatta.

Class FAQs
Is there a swim test?
Yes, there is a swim test on the first day of class. Adults need only take the swim test once per summer.
What happens if it rains?
We will be on the water in the rain. If we are unable to go on the water due to lightning/thunder/heavy winds, we will remain open to provide childcare for our students.
Can I make up a class if I miss a day?
No, we do not schedule make-up days.
How do I know if I am ready to move on to the next level?
Students learn and pick up skills at different rates, and the best way to determine if you are ready to move on to the next level is to ask your instructor. In addition, students are welcome to call our office so we can help to assess which class is right for you.
REFUND POLICY
Full refund less 4% refund fee if cancelled 21 days before the course start date. Courses cancelled within 21 days of the course start date are not eligible for refunds.
